    • Publication of the proceedings of the IX International Jurassic Congress

Editorial Board of the Volumina Jurassica journal cordially invites participants of the 9th International Congress on the Jurassic System in Jaipur (Rajasthan), India to submit manuscripts for a Congress proceeding volume.  The manuscripts should explore issues or theories related to all the topics of the Jurassic System. The manuscripts should be submitted during Congress in Jaipur (6-9, January 2014) in electronic version and a paper copy added.

Volumina Jurassica, a journal supported by ISJS, is a peer-reviewed geological journal devoted to the publication of original research papers on all aspects of the Jurassic System. The journal is published in a printed version and on line. Editorial Board Address: Polish Geological Institute-National Research Institute, Publication Department, Rakowiecka 4, PL-00-975 Warszawa; e-mail: volumina.jurassica@pgi.gov.pl, web site: www.pgi.gov.pl, or directly: voluminajurassica.org

Volumina Jurassica is issued jointly by the Polish Geological Institute-National Research Institute and University of Warsaw. Current editorial board: Andrzej Wierzbowski (editor in chief), Grzegorz Pieńkowski (deputy editor) and Anna Andraszek (secretary); we cooperate with John Wright  in terms of linguistic adjustment. We invited 22 prominent international Jurassic geologists to the editorial council.

Volumina Jurassica publishes both original research articles and reviews – special papers presenting a comprehensive analysis of materials previously published. It is assumed that manuscripts in both these categories submitted to the journal have not been published or submitted to any other journal or book. It is assumed also that the corresponding author represents all the co-authors in certifying that all of them contributed meaningfully in preparation of the study, and that the final submitted version of the text is approved by all the co-authors.

Volumina Jurassica is published in English. The length of manuscript for the Congress proceeding volume should not exceed 10 printed pages of A4 size which corresponds to about 20 pages of manuscript of  1.5 line-spacing, including figures and tables. The guidelines for the authors are given on web-site, and published in following issues of the journal.

Manuscripts submitted to Volumina Jurassica and fulfilling the editorial requirements are subject to per-review. Authors submitting the manuscripts are requested to propose at least three possible reviewers, but the final choice of reviewers is up to Editor. The manuscripts will be examined normally by two reviewers. The editors will inform the author of the opinion of the reviewers – and provide their reports. The edition of Volumina Jurassica volume being the Jaipur Congress proceedings volume is planned at the end of 2014. As usually, 25 copies of the paper will be provided to the corresponding author (or scienticfic editor) for distribution. Each of the referees of the manuscript will receive as always a free copy of the journal.

    • Poster Presentation : The size of poster should not be more than 4 x 3 feet
